As a media relations strategist, Kelcie conceptualizes and executes pitches to secure meaningful on-message media placements to increase brand awareness while positioning clients as thought leaders in their respective space.
Prior to joining Walker Sands as an intern in 2017, she held positions managing social media and marketing at Seattle-based music and entertainment companies. She was awarded the 2017 Charles Ebeling PRize for Excellence in Public Relations Campaigns for her work with the Anti Cruelty Society of Chicago’s foster adoption program. Kelcie was also selected to participate in the Second Annual Plank Center Challenge for Emerging Leaders, where she developed and presented a communications plan, including a white paper, digital content and social media mockups, designed to drive diversity recruitment and retention initiatives for large PR agencies in Chicago.
Kelcie is from Tacoma, WA. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in advertising and public relations from Loyola University Chicago, where she specialized in public relations.
