Tech and B2B PR firm wins bronze award for superior client, employee and new business initiatives
CHICAGO – November 10, 2014 – Walker Sands Communications, a full-service public relations and digital marketing firm for business-to-business and technology companies, has been named a bronze winner in the "Small Agency of the Year, Under $5 Million" category at the 2014 Bulldog Reporter Stars of PR Awards. The annual event recognizes PR and communications agencies that display breakthrough thinking, initiatives and industry leadership.

The Bulldog Reporter Awards is the only program judged by working journalists. A panel of reporters and editors from top news organizations around the U.S., including Fast Company, Forbes and NPR, awarded Walker Sands Small Agency of the Year for its outstanding recent achievements in account retention, human resources, new business and campaign work.
Over the past year, Walker Sands has developed and led a series of data-driven PR campaigns that produced staggering media coverage and return-on-investment for its clients, earning nods from the Bulldog Reporter Awards. Yesmail Interactive, a provider of enterprise email marketing software, worked with the Walker Sands team to launch a new product through a series of thought leadership opportunities and a downloadable research report on customer engagement. The campaign earned more than 50 prominent media mentions in business and technology press and more than 400 downloads of the study.
Similarly, Acquity Group, a global Brand eCommerce ® and digital marketing agency, now part of Accenture Interactive, worked with Walker Sands to develop a 2013 State of B2B Procurement Study, which generated more than 100 placements and 10 million unique views in the first three months alone. Since the campaign launched, the study has driven nearly 7,000 visits to the Acquity Group website, and more than 400 people have downloaded the report.
Walker Sands also expanded its PR work with several existing clients for additional social media and PR services – including Bloomberg BNA and CompTIA.
The award also recognized Walker Sands' HR initiatives that include a virtual green room for applicants interested in future job openings, social media engagement with potential candidates, a coaching program for existing employees and a full range of benefits that include a health program and social outings.
In addition to Agency of the Year at the Bulldog Reporter Awards, Walker Sands was named one of the fastest growing companies by Inc. Magazine as a member of the Inc. 5000 for 2013 and 2014.
