Chicago’s tech community is thriving. We’re proud to play a continued role in helping companies with great ideas scale and reach their potential.
As a result, we’re thrilled to partner with Catapult Chicago, one of the city’s best support systems for growth-stage companies. Catapult was founded two years ago – by entrepreneurs, for entrepreneurs. The nonprofit doesn’t take equity in resident companies. Rather, Catapult brings together a group of established experts to serve as a springboard for growth-stage companies.
The word springboard is key, as Catapult seeks to grow companies quickly so they can achieve the next stage of growth. In the past, Catapult has assisted companies like staffing site ShiftGig or technology company Tactify. Supply Vision, Occasion and Scholastica are among current companies that Catapult is assisting through a loose yet dedicated network of Chicago experts.
As Catapult’s newest sponsor, we’ll join companies like Foley and Lardner and Wintrust in providing financial support. We will also provide PR and marketing counsel for Catapult residents. We’ll essentially be teaching a 200-level class for established companies on how to further refine their messaging and share their product or service with the world.
Catapult was founded in 2012 by a group of Foley and Lardner attorneys who know the Chicago startup space and have watched it grow along with their own careers. The founders bring together the best experts from large and mid-range companies in Chicago and established startups that are looking to reach that level.
