In case you didn’t know, we’re excited about Techweek. In addition to three days packed full of great speakers, exhibiting companies and parties, the Techweek LAUNCH competition gives 70 startups a chance to battle it out for $100,000 in cash and prizes and the distinction of best-in-show.
And this year’s startups have their work cut out for them. Briteseed, the winner of last year’s LAUNCH competition, went on to grab an up-and-comer award at the 2012 Chicago Innovation Awards and several more awards from this year’s Rice Business Plan Competition.
Next Friday, June 28 will see the 70 tech startups exhibiting at Startup City, inside the Expo Hall at Chicago’s Merchandise Mart. Attendees and guest judges alike will have the chance to stop by the tables and get one-on-one demos of the products. The top four or five startups then have the chance to pitch to an audience and panel of judges on the main stage.
