This week we celebrated two exciting milestones at Walker Sands: our 100th employee and our listing on the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Companies in America for the 6th consecutive year. Even as I type these words, it’s hard to believe how far we’ve come.
Six years ago, we were a twenty-person boutique agency just beginning to establish our identity in integrated B2B tech marketing. In that time, we’ve not only formulated a strong foundation in our offerings but also built an award-winning team and incredible client partners who have taken risks, challenged the status quo and trusted us to take them to new heights.
And we’re still growing. From expanding our office locations to San Francisco and Seattle to building on our service offerings for clients, we continue to take on the marketing landscape with new perspectives. For example, our demand generation services have grown rapidly, with revenues increasing by more than 147 percent in the past year alone. Our trusting clients and integrated approach have allowed us to take on big opportunities resulting in high impact, multi-year campaigns for clients like CloudCraze and G2 Crowd. I wake up everyday thinking “how cool is it that our team got to work on stuff like that?” It still amazes me.
Beyond client work, it is truly our people who enable us to make strides and impact in the industry. Over the past 17 years, we have worked to create a collaborative environment where our employees are able to produce not only great client work but a great culture. Looking around the office, the benefits of keeping culture a top priority are clear. We could not have reached these milestones without our incredible team, and it shows. So far this year, Walker Sands has been named the No.13 Best Place to Work in Chicago by Crain’s, as well as the Best Agency (71-120 Employees) to Work For by The Holmes Report.
We also recognize the hard work and dedication that our employees bring to the office every day, and we make time to celebrate our accomplishments together. To commemorate our 100th employee and latest Inc. 5000 listing, we had a fun afternoon filled with champagne, empanadas and a Walker Sands-style game of Family Feud.
We are humbled to have our growth recognized by the Inc. 5000 list for the sixth consecutive year and would like to send our congratulations to our friends and clients who also made the 2018 list!
From the beginning we have been a team, and our combined efforts have afforded us achievements in growth and recognition. I still consider myself lucky to work here, and I’m looking forward to all the great things we will accomplish in the future. Here’s to those who have gotten us here and to the next 100 employees!
