Help a Walker Sands Team Member in a Race to Save Lives

Kari Brownsberger

My Honored Hero Jenna.

Today’s blog post is not about the power of marketing or PR - it’s about the power that we all have to help save lives.   Yours truly is currently training to run a marathon for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) as a participant in their Team In Training program.  In doing so, I’ve not only committed to run 26.2 miles, I’ve also committed to raise $2,500 to help fight blood cancers, and I hope all you readers out there can help by making a donation to my fundraising campaign.

Each donation that you make will help accelerate finding a cure for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. More than 823,000 Americans are battling these blood cancers, including my Honored Hero, Jenna.  Jenna is a beautiful seven year old girl who, at only 3 years of age, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia.  Jenna is currently winning the battle against Leukemia, and it’s because of donations from people like you that she’s been able to do so.  Jenna crossed her cancer treatment "finish line" in June of 2009, and I’ll have her in mind as I cross my finish line in Phoenix on January 16.

I hope that you’ll help me in my goal to raise $2,500 by donating at the following link:  I currently have about 25% of my funds raised, and I greatly appreciate anything that you can offer to help me reach my final goal. On behalf of Jenna and others who courageously battle blood cancers every day, thank you for supporting the mission!
