Walker Sands researched their central audience and found that a significant number were exposed to a local edition of a prominent business journal, American City Business Journals (ACBJ) and based our strategy around this target.
To appeal to BizBuySell’s primary audience, we created a program that gathered local data from BizBuySell’s database, packaging information into an economic report called the BizBuySell.com Insights Report. Walker Sands sent localized versions of the Insight Report to local editions of ACBJ on a quarterly basis.
As a result of our PR campaign, BizBuySell.com received 353 placements, 299 of which were attributed to our outreach with the Insights Report. Additionally, the campaign made over 340 million PR impressions and web traffic increased by almost 27 percent over the course of the year. The Social Media Hot Topic campaign generated over 300 million impressions for Alterian. As a result of our PR efforts, web traffic to Alterian’s website has increased by 678 percent year over year, and Alterian has seen a 200 percent increase in sales leads.
