As a Social Media Strategist, you will focus on client strategy, account management, cross-team coordination and KPI tracking and reporting. Our clients are smart B2B marketers who value social media as a part of their broader business objectives. To help them reach their goals, we need a team player who can think critically and develop sophisticated strategies.

If you love coming up with creative campaigns, that’s a big part of this job. But you also should feel confident digging deep into data to help clients uncover new insights. And through every effort, you must prove ROI.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead social media manager for a handful of B2B clients.
  • Oversee publishing, engagement and reporting across the major social platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram.
  • Create social media marketing plans that meet clients’ objectives, from building awareness to generating leads.
  • Coordinate with team members in Creative Services, Client Services, Demand Generation, Public Relations and Branding/Web.
  • Work with writers and designers to ensure adherence to clients’ brand guidelines.
  • Lead weekly or semimonthly client calls.
  • Create and manage monthly KPI dashboards.
  • Lead quarterly strategy sessions.
  • Assist with sales pitches as needed.

Skills and experience

  • Experience developing social media strategies for brands (in house or at an agency)
  • Solid grasp of social media management tools, such as Sprout Social and Bambu
  • Knowledge of other social media tools, such as Canva, for content creation
  • Experience with social listening tools, such as Talkwalker and Sprout Social’s Advanced Analytics
  • Basic understanding of Google Analytics, with a desire to get certified
  • Superb writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Deep analytical thinking
  • Excellent multitasking skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to create decks, dashboards and other reports, using G Suite
  • Desire to stay up to date on the latest developments and best practices in social media
  • B2B experience a plus
  • Influencer and/or review site management also a plus

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience working in social media, preferably in an agency setting
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, communications, business or equivalent
