Motion Designer & Video Editor


The Walker Sands Motion Designer & Video Editor will be responsible for the production of high-quality motion graphics for clients in the B2B tech space. This individual must show a passion for developing and bringing design concepts to life through well-executed animations and motion graphics. This individual must work independently and with teams across the agency. Reporting directly to our Video Lead, the Motion Designer & Video Editor will also assist with video production and editing in Premiere Pro as needed.

The Motion Designer & Video Editor should expect to work on about three to four video projects at a time with the goal of meeting clients’ marketing objectives in a timely, profitable manner. In conjunction with account teams, this individual will work with the Video Lead to establish video narratives, build motion graphics elements and video templates, and ensure a cohesive final product. This individual will also work with the in-house design team to storyboard and design mockups that adhere to our clients’ brand standards. All video projects must present our clients’ products and services in creative, engaging ways. Prior experience working with B2B companies is a plus.

We also expect the Motion Designer & Video Editor to stay up to date with motion design and video trends as well as the latest tools of the trade. A strategic and creative mindset is critical to ensuring our video services meet our clients’ high standards.


  • Attend meetings and brainstorms to determine motion graphics needs in video projects.
  • Design and build motion graphics with text and images, using approved brand standards across a wide range of clients.
  • Adhere to video project plans and timelines.
  • Develop all motion graphics components, including 2D and 3D animated effects.
  • Collaborate with the content team on scripting, project management and selling video services to clients.
  • Assist the Video Lead as needed, including with video shoots, production, editing and other administrative tasks.


  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere and Illustrator
  • Video and audio editing
  • Storyboarding
  • Building 2D and 3D motion graphics
  • Working knowledge of video codecs
  • Excellent layout, color and typographic skills, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Demonstrated design sensibility — intentional use of typography, color, scale, layout, etc. to meet communication and style objectives


  • 1–3 years of motion design and video editing experience
  • Direct agency, in-house or freelance work with motion graphics and video filming/editing
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, film or related field
  • Online portfolio of current work that includes motion graphics and animations
  • B2B knowledge as well as filming experience a plus
