We are looking for an ambitious, talented Director of HR who aspires to become a VP within two to three years and who truly understands how creating a people-focused organization is the key to success for a fast-growing business like ours.
Reporting directly to our COO -- with extensive interaction with our CEO, President and other members of our senior leadership team -- you will help to refine and perfect our HR function, including how we recruit for new talent, set people-first policies, and provide world-class benefits. This is the perfect opportunity for a recruiting or HR professional with seven to ten years of experience, with both talent management and business acumen -- especially those who prefer not to work in a large bureaucracy where your impact is not highly correlated to your talent and potential.

Initially, your job will include some recruiting and generalist HR activities: checking in with team members, hiring for our digital and branding teams, onboarding new folks on those teams, introducing them to our benefits and making sure that our HR function supports our strong cultural values of learning, collaboration and high performance in the marketplace. You will have a staff member reporting directly to you.
This position will also own compensation policy across all departments: corporate, public relations, creative and digital. We need someone with great business acumen and negotiation skills who can help us set and stay true to our compensation guidelines. This includes doing industry research, understanding profitability and negotiating with prospective employees. For this function you will work closely with our Director of Finance and the hiring Vice Presidents.
Your role will quickly expand to include additional responsibilities around enhancing the organization's HR function and helping us add new office locations and functions, all while building out a team of experienced HR professionals under your leadership.
