Content Producer (Editorial), Walker Sands, Chicago, Full Time

As a Content Producer in the Creative Services department, you will focus on creating content for a range of B2B clients. During any given week, your projects may include bylines, blog posts, case studies, research reports, tip sheets, white papers and more.

For ultimate success in this role, you should be a strong writer and editor who thrives in a deadline-driven environment. You also should be an autodidact who stays on top of industry trends. And above all else, you should be a natural storyteller who can capture a client’s voice.

Responsibilities

  • Draft authoritative and engaging bylines, white papers, research reports and more for a range of B2B clients.
  • Distill highly technical subject matter into clear and compelling content.
  • Conduct data-driven research.
  • Lead interviews with subject matter experts.
  • Communicate and collaborate with account and project managers, PR and demand gen experts, and fellow Creative Services colleagues.
  • Generate ideas and build content calendars to meet clients’ objectives.
  • Master each client’s voice across a range of B2B industries.

Skills and experience

  • Experience writing for a B2B audience (preferred)
  • Experience developing various types of content, including blog posts, case studies, tip sheets, white papers, videos and more
  • Foundational understanding of effective and efficient content production processes
  • Familiarity with content management systems
  • Strong editing skills and demonstrated knowledge of AP style
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, manage time and function independently

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in communications, journalism or copywriting
  • 1-2 years of experience working closely with clients on content marketing programs
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, communications, business or equivalent
