Overview:

Walker Sands is looking for a Senior Brand Designer to join the Branding team in our Creative department.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with creative directors, brand strategists, designers and copywriters to ideate, develop and launch award-winning brand identity systems. 
  • Think conceptually and deliver strategic creative solutions based on specific brand goals.
  • Design brand expression and activation assets that are aligned to brand strategy and messaging. 
  • Confidently and authoritatively present work to current clients and support sales presentations as needed.
  • Critique, challenge and celebrate the work of your colleagues during weekly creative reviews.
  • Support ongoing business development initiatives, with a focus on sales and branding: directional concepting, strategic recommendations, proposal development, pricing, pitching.
  • Oversee production for a variety of creative deliverables (visual brand identities, guidelines, homepage concepting, activation and more), ensuring quality and consistency across channels.
  • Articulate and defend design decisions in a clear and persuasive manner to facilitate the collection of feedback from strategy/design directors and other collaborators, including clients.

  • You’re a self-starter with high ambitions and higher standards. You take direction and run with it, you can confidently defend your creative decisions and you’re comfortable voicing ideas to colleagues and clients.
  • You have an online portfolio that shows off your branding experience and technical skills.
  • You have 3–5 years of experience and formal training in art direction or design.
  • You’ve mastered Figma and Adobe CC staples, such as Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
