Lucas is an account executive at Walker Sands, where he focuses on developing and executing media relations strategies for marketing technology clients like Sprout Social and Kobie Marketing. In this role, he crafts messaging, conducts media outreach, builds relationships with reporters and positions executives as thought leaders in their fields.
Lucas has a background in public and corporate affairs, with experience in media relations, crisis communications, writing, research, content creation and social media management.
Prior to joining Walker Sands, he worked at the Chicago office of Kivvit, a national public affairs firm, and before that, at a boutique integrated marketing communications firm, where he worked primarily with trade association clients. He began his career in public relations as an intern at the Los Angeles office of Sunshine Sachs, a bicoastal public relations agency.
Lucas earned his bachelor’s degree in English from Cornell University’s College of Arts and Sciences.
Outside of the office, Lucas enjoys sporadically starting and stopping several books at once, talking about finally joining a yoga class, and watching television shows after they’re not popular anymore (as of press time, he has still yet to watch “Breaking Bad”).

If it were up to me, our kitchen would be a Starbucks.
I’ve never seen the movie The Notebook. People are always shocked when they learn this.
