Senior Media Relations Specialist
As a senior media relations specialist, Allison leads media outreach and content development efforts for enterprise software and professional services clients. Working alongside a cohesive team, she develops strategic communication plans to establish her clients as thought leaders in their respective industry categories. Allison works to secure top-tier placements by crafting newsworthy angles and building strong reporter relationships.
Prior to joining Walker Sands, Allison gained in-house public relations experience through internships with the Michigan Governor's Office, the Traverse City Film Festival and the Michigan Nature Association. In these roles, she drafted press releases and blog content, coordinated events and interviews and managed social platforms. Allison also broadened her journalistic understanding as a contributing writer for USA Today College and as a reporter for her college newspaper, The Michigan Daily.
Allison graduated from the University of Michigan, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in communications with minors in business and writing.
In college, Allison was a member of the competitive sailing team, where she only tipped over the boat twice.
