SurePayroll
SurePayroll is a service resource for companies that want to outsource their
payroll functions. "We give companies an affordable means by which to process
payroll, distribute funds to their employees, and take care of all the payroll
tax-related filing and compliance issues," said a company spokesperson.
The company focuses on smaller businesses with basic payroll needs, including
those on a budget, that want to maintain some control over the process,
rather than relinquish it completely and possibly lose immediate access
to their data. SurePayroll's largest client has about 85 employees. Many
health care-related companies are among the firm's clients, including distributors,
pharmacies, physicians and other providers. Unlike some other payroll service providers, SurePayroll notes that it offers
Web-based access to payroll. Also, the company offers a real-time payroll
preview for its clients, allowing business owners or administrators to see
their exact payroll liability.
SurePayroll gives it client companies the options of paying employees via
direct deposit plus e-mail notifications, or with paper checks. Employees
can go to a highly secure, password-protected website to review their pay
history.
The company was founded in 1999 by Scott Wald, George Colis and Troy Henikoff.
It now has about 70 employees and customers in all 50 states. Sales and
customer service operations are based at the company's Skokie, Ill., location,
with the Internet used for demonstrations and enrollments.
