Walker Sands Communications is looking for an experienced, motivated person to lead and grow our Social Media practice.

The Director of Social Media will collaborate with our PR and Digital teams to develop innovative social media strategies for B2B and technology clients, from Fortune 500 corporations and startups to business associations and nonprofits.
As a Director of Social Media, you'll play a pivotal role in expanding our practice. You'll be leading (and building) a team of social media specialists, charting results-oriented strategy for multiple clients, and supporting the sales process to secure new business opportunities.
At Walker Sands, you'll participate in our firm's culture of constant learning, tracking the latest developments in social media and digital marketing and sharing those insights with people in and outside of the agency.

For this role, we're looking for candidates with 6-10 years of digital marketing and social media experience, preferably in the technology and/or B2B industries. You should be fluent in the latest earned and paid social media tools, techniques and metrics, and well versed in how social media amplifies clients' broader marketing initiatives.
We expect that you'll have experience managing accounts and staff, and participating in the business development process. Exceptional research, planning and analytics skills are prerequisites. In terms of personal characteristics, you should be detail-oriented, creative and proactive about nurturing relationships and discovering new opportunities. Flawless writing, verbal and presentation skills are a must.
