Sales Manager (Chicago)

Walker Sands is looking to hire our newest sales manager to continue growing our Chicago and San Francisco offices.  In conjunction with our VP of business development, you will get to know the who's who of the B2B tech world, help foster client relationships and work in a challenging yet supportive environment.


We are looking for someone who isn’t afraid to be disciplined, organized and assertive in their sales objectives. The Walker Sands sales manager will be responsible for everything from the initial pitch to closing the deal.  Not only will you develop your own book of business, but you’ll be working with our executive team to develop and achieve company wide sales goals.  Having a positive and determined attitude is key to succeeding in this role.  

Experience Required

If you posses the following skills, we want to hear from you!

  • Energetic self-starter with a passion for sales
  • Experience in the digital marketing or public relations space
  • Strong understanding of innovation and technology trends
  • Exceptional communication skills including written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Salesforce experience is a plus
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in B2B sales/marketing role 
  • Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities will include:

  • Following up on inbound leads and cultivating new leads through proactive outbound prospecting, networking, and cold calling
  • Penetrating key verticals and target accounts
  • Developing a sales plan in order to achieve individual and company goals
  • Creating proposals and presentations for prospective clients 
  • Tracking activities and recording information in 
  • Providing regular updates to management regarding opportunities, trends and challenges
  • Collaborating with services teams on best practices and solutions 

This position will include a base salary, access to our full host of benefits as well as commission based incentives.
