Walker Sands partnered with Newark element14, a high-service electronics distributor based in Chicago and one of only two authorized North American distributors of the Raspberry Pi, to launch the Raspberry Pi 2 Model B. Walker Sands created an integrated results driven PR strategy to obtain media placements and increase Raspberry Pi’s market share. The campaign was executed by reaching out to media as well as YouTube influencers. Walker Sands gave tech bloggers an early look at the computer and its accessories. The new computer offered six times the speed and twice the memory of the original, and cost less than $35. The Raspberry Pi 2 Model B was Featured in The New York Times, Engadget, the Chicago Tribune and The Verge.
