Media Relations Specialist
As a media relations specialist for Walker Sands, Kelsey is focused on securing top-tier media coverage for her clients in the enterprise software and professional services industry.
Before joining Walker Sands, Kelsey worked at ART WORKS Projects for Human Rights, where she led community outreach and media relations for the nonprofit’s local and national exhibits. She also worked for Loyola University Chicago’s in-house marketing division as a public relations intern.
Kelsey graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University Chicago, earning a bachelor’s degree in advertising and public relations with a minor in studio art.
If you’re ever looking for a delicious bowl of pho, Kelsey can show you around Chicago's Little Saigon and flex her (limited) Vietnamese language skills she picked up while studying abroad in college.
The Argonauts by Maggie Nelson. Perfect to finish in one sitting, and Nelson’s poetic nature shines through in this very fluid tale of a changing family. Plus, she weaves in tidbits from some of the best (and my favorite) gender theorists.
Anywhere in Andersonville. The shops and restaurants on Clark are endless (literally), but you’ll find me frequenting La Colombe, Little Bad Wolf and pH Comedy Club on a regular basis.
Coffee, please. But, if you’re taking requests, a Metropolis cold brew tap would be preferred.
I’m a self-proclaimed poker prodigy. I’ve been playing Texas Hold‘em since I was seven years old and continue to be quite the card shark at family gatherings and neighborhood block parties.
Southern Spain. Tapas, Moorish architecture, beaches and red wine – need I say more?
