This is a unique opportunity for an HR professional. You will be able to help craft programs and policies with the founders, market new recruiting programs, and pitch innovative ideas to the company. A typical day will include everything from sorting through resumes, leading an orientation session and marketing the internship program.
From marketing The Sandlot program to students, to reviewing applicants, the Walker Sands internship program is a team effort. You would be the team leader rounding up key staff to help market the program, grade tests, and conduct interviews, in order to hire a world-class internship class.
Our growth demands addition candidates every month and we need a constant supply of new talent. Walker Sands has a virtual Green Room where candidates are held until a position opens up. This candidate pipeline is essential to hiring senior staff. You would be in charge of marketing the program and cultivating relationships with potential candidates.
At Walker Sands, we are all constant learners. From attending conferences to having day-long retreats and bringing in outside speakers, we are always looking for new ways to learn new things. As the HR manager, you will make sure this happens. Like all things Walker Sands, this is a team effort. You will pull in experts from the staff to create and conduct classes.
Additional tasks will include working with staff to determine hiring needs, coordinating with professional recruiters and assuring that Walker Sands’ compliance paperwork is up to date.
