Q&A with Ellen Hanson

What TV or movie character best exemplifies you and why?

My favorite fictional character is Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird. Atticus is intelligent, wise, has incredible human empathy, treats everyone fairly and always tries to do the right thing. I always name my pets after characters from the book and am currently enjoying the company of Boo Radley, a little Pekingese.

Would you rather have the office stocked 24/7 with Starbucks coffee or Garrett's popcorn?

Garret's for me, but let's figure out a way to get every team member exactly what they want!

What do you do outside of work?

I'm an avid reader. I read at least two books a week. I co-founded a bookclub that has been going strong for almost 30 years.

Have any good tips for people who want to work at Walker Sands?

#1 Be talented. #2 Be yourself. #3 Be passionate about the work and the company.
