As a vice president and partner, Dave leads the retail technology, marketing technology and education technology practice areas at Walker Sands.
With more than 15 years of experience in public relations, journalism and business, Dave helps B2B technology clients tell their brand stories through integrated communication strategies that drive real business results. An expert in bringing together PR and digital marketing to generate publicity and leads, he serves as senior strategist and consultant for clients like Accenture Interactive, Infogroup, Sprout Social and Flipgrid.
Before joining Walker Sands in 2012, Dave worked as director of communications and an adjunct professor at Aurora University, where he led public relations and content strategy across print, digital and social channels. Prior to that, he spent almost a decade as a newspaper reporter and editor at Sun-Times Media. Dave holds an MBA from Aurora University and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Illinois, where he earned a place on the Bronze Tablet, the highest university honor.
A Chicago native, Dave can’t get enough of the Cubs, the lakefront and the city’s amazing restaurants.
