Lauren Eichmann

Lauren Eichmann is a Senior Account Executive with Walker Sands.

Lauren joined the Walker Sands team with a background in both print journalism and technical public relations. She received a bachelor's degree in news-editorial journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and worked in public relations for the university's largest department, the prestigious Electrical and Computer Engineering. While working for the department, Lauren interviewed many researchers, professors and graduate students renowned for developing innovative technologies with widespread application. Her articles that outlined their research were published via the departmental and college Web site, internal student newsletters , as well as an external alumni magazine.

Lauren has likewise written news stories for The Daily Illini, the independent, student-run newspaper at the University of Illinois. She later held communications positions with both the university's Campus Information Technologies and Educational Services (CITES) unit and College of Business.

At Walker Sands, Lauren works to obtain media placements for clients through media outreach. She develops PR ideas and creates pitch materials that effectively communicate the client's message, whether it be through current initiatives or identifying unique angles a journalist might find appealing. Her experience in both public relations and newspaper journalism gives her valuable insight into what a client desires, and what a journalist most appreciates.
