Evan Maier is a media relations specialist with Walker Sands.
Evan joined the Walker Sands team with a diverse background in journalism, public relations, and marketing. He received his bachelor’s degree in English from Ohio Wesleyan University, during which time he served as a staff writer for the university’s student-run newspaper, the Transcript. During his education, Evan also held an internship with the media relations division of the Philadelphia Film Festival, working with the local news media to generate buzz about the festival’s 14th running.
Prior to Walker Sands, Evan worked to establish the marketing & communications division for Tefen, Ltd., a consulting firm based in New York. Serving in a number of job roles, Evan developed the majority of intellectual collateral for the firm, including press materials, website content, whitepapers, and corporate videos.
At Walker Sands, Evan works to obtain media placements for clients through media outreach, developing PR ideas, and creating pitch materials. His strong background in writing and passion for communications make Evan a valuable member of the media relations team at Walker Sands.
