Media Relations Specialist

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and write pitches, press releases, and contributed articles to solicit placements for Walker Sands clients
• Build and maintain media databases
• Maintain working relationships with target members of press community
• Help coordinate follow-up with media contacts

Experience Required

• Minimum of two years experience in public relations

Education Required

• BA/BS

Skills Required

• Ability to communicate effectively
• Superb writing and editing skills
• Ability to quickly assimilate and communicate new ideas
• Creative ability to develop new story ideas
• Strong computer skills: Office and internet searching, basic HTML a plus
• Organization and time management skills
