Bobby Chilver

Bobby Chilver is a Media Relations Specialist with Walker Sands.

Bobby comes to Walker Sands Communications with a strong background in communications and media relations, having worked in a variety of roles at the award-winning Journal & Topics Newspapers in Des Plaines, Ill. There he worked as a reporter and graphic designer, helping put out 16 community newspapers on a weekly basis.

Bobby worked daily with public relations professionals to get the word out on local businesses and organizations. He also has significant experience in social media networking, blogs and page design. Bobby has his bachelor's degree in news-editorial journalism from the University of Illinois' School of Communications.

At Walker Sands, Bobby works to place client material in a variety of media outlets. His excellent writing background and experience as a reporter help him create effective press releases and media pitches. Having worked on the other end of the communications relationship, Bobby is able to interact with journalists and get client messages into major publications.
