Greetings from a Walker Sands Newbie

Remember when on the first day of school every year, your teacher would make everyone in the class share a “fun fact” about themselves?  I used to always dread when my turn came around, but over the years I’d like to think that I’ve developed a few “fun facts” about myself.  So as one of the newest people on the Walker Sands team, I thought I’d share some with all of you.

  • I studied abroad in Beijing, China for about six months.  Hands-down one of the best life experiences I’ve ever had.  But no, I don’t speak Chinese, except for a few phrases that I’ve managed to remember.  Ni hao!
  • I have been an aunt since I was three, and I of course love my nieces dearly!  They all live outside of Illinois and I hate being away from them.
  • I am a die-hard Ohio State Buckeyes fan.  During football season I can be kind of obnoxious about it.  And naturally, I am predisposed to dislike anyone from Michigan.
  • I once ran a marathon, which is a good thing to do if you want to lose some of your toenails.  I’d love to run another one again though.
  • And finally, I come to Walker Sands from a marketing communications agency that focused largely on business-to-business marketing and PR.  I’ll write a bit more about B2B PR on my next blog post!
