Beth Burghgraef, Walker Sands

Beth works as a senior account executive with enterprise software and professional services clients. In her role, Beth is responsible for the overall strategy and execution of media relations and content marketing campaigns, and she works closely with her team to secure print, online and broadcast coverage. 

Beth works with her clients to create a trusting partnership and to ensure all messaging and public relations efforts align with the client's goals and business objectives. Beth also has a background in crisis communications and is a resource for clients when incidents arise. 

Prior to joining Walker Sands, she worked as a senior media relations manager at Tech Image, securing national and trade media coverage for clients in the digital signage, data integration and wireless communication sectors. Beth has also served as the assistant director of public relations at Northeastern Illinois University and as a marketing and communications specialist for the Manufacturing and Applied Engineering Center of Excellence. She also serves as a director on the membership committee for the American Marketing Association. 

When Beth is not in the office, you can find her either sipping wine on patios or dominating on the tennis court.

What is your favorite place in Chicago that isn't a typical tourist destination?

Any restaurant patio in the summertime.

One thing people in the world wouldn't know about you?

I played the violin from elementary through high school.

If you could live anywhere else in the world where would it be?

There are a ton of places I would live, but I have to say Boston. It’s my favorite city in the U.S.
